Αναγνώριση της προσφοράς της Omogeneia Media και χρηματοδότηση για το έργο “Omogeneia News Services 2026”.
Η Αυστραλιανή Κυβέρνηση αναγνώρισε επίσημα τη σημαντική προσφορά της Omogeneia Media Inc. στην ενημέρωση και την ενδυνάμωση της ελληνικής και ευρύτερης πολυπολιτισμικής κοινότητας της Αυστραλίας, αποστέλλοντας συγχαρητήρια επιστολή για την επιτυχή εξασφάλιση χρηματοδότησης μέσω του προγράμματος Independent Multicultural Media – Transformation and Sustainability.
Η επιχορήγηση θα στηρίξει την υλοποίηση του έργου Omogeneia News Services 2026, συμβάλλοντας στην περαιτέρω ανάπτυξη και βιωσιμότητα των ενημερωτικών υπηρεσιών της Omogeneia Media.
Με την ευκαιρία αυτή, η Omogeneia Media εκφράζει τις ειλικρινείς της ευχαριστίες προς την Αυστραλιανή Κυβέρνηση και ιδιαίτερα προς τον The Hon Julian Hill MP, Υφυπουργό Ιθαγένειας, Τελωνείων και Πολυπολιτισμικών Υποθέσεων και Υφυπουργό Διεθνούς Εκπαίδευσης, για την τιμητική αναγνώριση και τη διαρκή στήριξη των ανεξάρτητων πολυπολιτισμικών μέσων ενημέρωσης.
Στη συγχαρητήρια επιστολή του, ο κ. Hill επισημαίνει ότι η Κυβέρνηση Αλμπανέζε αναγνωρίζει τον καθοριστικό ρόλο των ανεξάρτητων πολυπολιτισμικών μέσων ενημέρωσης ως αξιόπιστων φορέων ενημέρωσης, που ενισχύουν τη συνοχή των κοινοτήτων και συμβάλλουν στη δημιουργία μιας ενημερωμένης, συμπεριληπτικής και δημοκρατικής κοινωνίας.
Όπως αναφέρεται στην επιστολή, τα πολυπολιτισμικά μέσα ενημέρωσης διασφαλίζουν ότι όλοι οι Αυστραλοί έχουν πρόσβαση σε έγκαιρες και αξιόπιστες πληροφορίες στη γλώσσα της επιλογής τους, ενώ παράλληλα ενισχύουν τη δημοκρατική συμμετοχή, αντανακλώντας την πολυμορφία που χαρακτηρίζει τη σύγχρονη Αυστραλία.
Ο Υφυπουργός καταλήγει αναφέροντας:
«Είμαι περήφανος που υποστηρίζω τη συνεχή βιωσιμότητα των ανεξάρτητων και κοινοτικών πολυπολιτισμικών μέσων ενημέρωσης της Αυστραλίας και συγχαίρω την Omogeneia Media για αυτήν την άξια χρηματοδότηση.»
Η διάκριση αυτή αποτελεί ιδιαίτερη τιμή για την Omogeneia Media και επιβεβαιώνει τη διαχρονική της δέσμευση στην έγκυρη ενημέρωση, την προώθηση της πολυπολιτισμικότητας και την ουσιαστική υποστήριξη της ελληνικής παροικίας και όλων των πολυπολιτισμικών κοινοτήτων της Αυστραλίας.

Funding Award Supports “Omogeneia News Services 2026”
The Australian Government has formally recognised the significant contribution of Omogeneia Media Inc. to informing, supporting and strengthening Australia’s Greek and broader multicultural communities by issuing an official letter of congratulations following the organisation’s successful grant award under the Independent Multicultural Media – Transformation and Sustainability Program.
The funding will support the implementation of the Omogeneia News Services 2026 project, helping to strengthen the organisation’s digital transformation and long-term sustainability while continuing to provide trusted news and information to multicultural audiences.
Omogeneia Media extends its sincere appreciation to the Australian Government and, in particular, to The Hon Julian Hill MP, Assistant Minister for Citizenship, Customs and Multicultural Affairs, and Assistant Minister for International Education, for this important recognition of the organisation’s ongoing contribution to Australia’s multicultural media landscape.
In his congratulatory message, Minister Hill emphasised that the Albanese Government recognises the vital role played by independent multicultural media organisations as trusted voices within Australia’s diverse communities, helping to build a more informed, inclusive and connected society.
The letter also highlights that multicultural media ensure Australians can access timely and reliable information in their preferred language, while strengthening democratic participation by reflecting the full diversity of the nation.
Minister Hill concluded his message by stating:
“I am proud to support the continued sustainability of Australia’s independent and community multicultural media and congratulate Omogeneia Media on this well-deserved funding.”
This recognition represents an important milestone for Omogeneia Media, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to independent journalism, community service and the promotion of multiculturalism through quality news and information for Greek Australians and Australia’s diverse multicultural communities.
